How to eat healthy at Lombard

College food has a certain reputation, a reputation that Nichols is no exception to. My dogs eat better than college dining hall food. A lot of people are always settling for the cheeseburgers (which are worse than a McDouble) and fries because most of the options just come off as unedible. Here are some tips to help you eat your meals at lombard, without gaining the freshmen fifteen.

AVOID THE GRILL STATION!
The nutrition facts for the french fries, burgers, and grilled cheese's  are always posted in tiny letters, read them when you get the chance, and you won't want to walk over there again.

Deli Station
Instead of getting a white bulkie roll or white bread, try wheat bread or the wheat wrap, and grill it on the panini machine.
Also, try to lighten up on the mayo.

Salad Station
Adding grilled chicken to your salad gives you protein you need as well as keeping you fuller for longer to avoid eating that piece of pizza too. Instead of adding on cheese, try a more healthy option for flavor, like craisins. Also, notice that for every dressing they have they also have a light version.

Entre Station
Check this station for different vegetables daily, the grilled ones are there a few times a week and are actually very good. Avoid the roticerary chicken, and take advantage when they have something like pork, instead of chinese food.

Other tips:
Instead of getting soda twice a day because it's there, try substituting water at least once a day.
Grab a piece of fruit from the dessert table instead of a cookie on your way out.
Keep in mind your portion controls.
Make a cup of green tea to go, it's great for your body and metabolism!
