has come with at home hair color and at home styling. Yes we all have heard the
horror stories about hair style disasters and accidentally dying your hair jet
black. However put your fears to rest because if you get the right products and
follow directions, you will save hundreds of dollars. You can find tons of
different hair colors from 5 to 10 dollars. Each box has simple directions and does
not take long to do. The box dye generally comes with the hair dye, plastic
gloves, and after care conditioner, most salons would not give you free
conditioner. The instrutions that come are very detailed and are offered in
four different languages. This process is not complicated or long and can turn
into a lot of fun! If you have a friend making sure to get got each strand of
hair. Another fun fact is that you know exactly what you are putting on your
head when you buy at home color. Most hair dyes have nutrients and nourish your
hair while coloring. I do my own hair and I have so much fun doing it. There
are plenty of options that do not wreak of chemicals. Below are a few steps to gorgeous hair for way less!
-Pick a color you are comfortable with.
-Use the provided protective gloves.
-Wear a ratty old shirt you do NOT like, preferably one you are ready to throw away, it's very easy to get dye on whatever shirt you are wearing.
-Mix the dye together.
-Apply the dye to your hair in sections.
-Set a timer for the amount of time it says on the box
-Without disturbing the dye on your hair, wipe excess dye off of your neck and forehead with a paper towel.
-Wait until the timer is up, walk in the shower, get a little water in your hair, and lather it up, dye and all.
-Use the conditioner that's in the kit and leave it in your hair for about five minutes.
-Allow your hair to dry naturally instead of blow-drying as it will retain more shine that way.
Hey Kelly, this is a very useful blog! I only went to the salon once to die my hair and once I realized how easy it was I just started to die it myself with my friend’s assistance. I recently had a bad hair experience. I thought it would be fun and easy to highlight my hair! Turns out, it’s a lot harder then they make it look in the hair studio. I somehow ended up highlighting my hair orange with what looked like circles, and triangles streaked in my hair. Lucky for me I was able to go to the hair salon and fix it for a relatively decent price. I do however dye my own hair and it turns out pretty good every time. I agree with you, dyeing hair can be so much fun! I find dyeing my hair fun, especially when you make it an activity with your close friends.
ReplyDeleteHi kelly, I find it funny that we both did the same topic, how to dye your hair at home instead of going to the salon and spending hundreds of dollars on something that you can get done in your own home for less then ten dollars. Obviously this is something not only me but others think is useful too since so many girls dye thier hair so much. Even though box colors dont always come out the way you plan, theres always a solution to fixing it and it doesnt take as much time. Im glad we both think the same way about this!
ReplyDeleteI love that you chose this Kel! I've been dying my hair since 8th grade, and only a few times have I actually gone to a salon. It's true it's so much cheaper at home, and there is a solution for everytime there's a mess up. I've figured this out from my own experience. Love the tip about wearing a ratty old shirt, I always think I won't mess it up then I destroy a perfectly good T. Thanks for this Kel!
