The Fluff Life

Hello, my name is Robert Joseph Silva III. But, you can call me Bobby. I am from Woburn, Mass, and for those of who don't know, Woburn is a small city about twenty minutes out of Boston. I went to Boston College High School (BC High) in Dorchester, Mass, which is all-male prep school. Yeah, I know, sounds like a ton of fun. In my junior year of high school, I got job working for Market Basket (grocery store) as a cashier. I have been there now for a year and half and I have hated every second of it. After graduating from BC High, I enrolled at Nichols and I am currently a freshman. My hobbies consist of hanging with friends, watching TV, and playing Xbox. I know, I'm interesting.

As I said before, I am a freshman at Nichols. But unlike almost every kid here, I am an education major with a primary in history. Yeah, did you know we had that major here? I get a nice reaction every time I tell someone that. It's ok though, I want to teach. I feel that I have the skills to teach and would enjoy doing so. But along with teaching, I also want to coach high school football. My perfect situation would be me going back to my high school to teach and coach, that would be awesome. I know that the only reason I survived high school was because of my guidance counselor and one teacher. They both made a huge difference in my life and I want to be that person for a kid struggling like I did.

I am taking this course called digital applications and this course requires us to write blogs, learn how to use Microsoft, and so on and so forth. I am hoping to increase my familiarity with technology and get better at using Microsoft works. I am horrible with technology and could really use some help.
The blog I chose to read was about Ray Lewis. This blog heavily criticized Ray Lewis and said that he is "just a man." This article completely ripped on Ray Lewis saying that he's too old, not fast enough, and let's not forget, he allegedly killed someone. I have an opposite viewpoint on Ray Lewis; I praise him for the good things, not the bad. I praise him for being a spectacular leader, a man of faith, and an absolute tank on the football field.

  1. Bobby, you unlike me are a man of many, many words. You are a very interesting and very funny man. Being able to learn some parts about your life are also very interesting to know. We have many things in common I noticed and it is cool to be able to talk and interact with someone who has the same similarities and intrests as I do.

Sticking with the football theme, I feel that like Brandon Spikes, Ray Lewis is one of my favorite players. You also described him perfectly because he is the man.

I can not wait to read more of your blogs and hear more about how you and your major and your experience here at Nichols goes.
