My name is Siobhan Burke, I am from Saratoga Springs, NewYork. Saratoga is a big town in upstate New York about forty five minutes north
of Albany, and three hours from Nichols College. I graduated from Saratoga
Springs High School which had a class size of five hundred and fifty. Nichols College is about the same size of my
high school so I don’t feel like there was a big change class size wise. When I’m
home I work at a hotel chain called the Best Western where a lot of crazy stuff
has happened. My job is something I really enjoy and love going back to it when
I go home for breaks. I work a lot so I don’t have much time for fun but when I
do have time I love to swim. I am currently a freshman at Nichols College where
I am attempting to get my Psychology major, and Criminal Justice minor. In this
course I am hoping to get a better understanding of what computers have to
offer. I don’t know a lot about computer programs, and I think this course
could really help me.
One of my favorite shows is The Walking Dead. It has been an
obsession of mine since it first came out, and I was hooked the first episode
of the season. Im a horror fanatic so this zombie TV show really is one of my
favorite shows ever. I enjoy reading what is happening with the show, and plans
for the future episodes. This is why I read the Walking Dead Blogs on AMC. On
the blog I am currently reading I found that the Walking Dead has been
nominated for two Golden Reel awards that will be presented in February. AMC’s blog of the Walking Dead is definitely credible
for many reasons such as it originates from the channel providers website. AMC chooses what is posted on this blog so I doubt
they would have any misleading information on their website.
Hi siobhan. It must be so interesting to work in a hotel. I've always wanted to work in a hotel when I was younger because most hotels are elegant and I've always wanted to work in a fancy and sophisticated place. I bet they pay you really good too! Did you work in the lobby? Did you ever had to deal with angry customers? I love traveling and I've been to the city in New York but never been anywhere further out. I'm sure Saratoga Springs is a wonderful place to live in!Do you plan to live there when you're done with college? I like to watch crazy horror shows too when I have time. I just watched the whole 2nd season of American Horror Story and I thought it was awesome. I never seen the walking dead, but I have to watch it soon when I have free time because I heard it was great from other people too!
ReplyDeleteHi Siobhan. I like this blog because we come from similar places and I can relate to you. I also come from a high school of five-hundred in each class. I like Nichols because it wasn't a big change transitioning from high school to college. I, as well, think it is very interesting and fun that you work at a hotel. I am sure that you see a lot of different people and see a lot of interesting things happen. It also seems like a job that would pay well and give you great hours to work with. Siobhan also lives in a similar place as me. Although I live in Ashburn, Virginia are towns seem very much alike. Siobhan is majoring in psychology and minoring and criminal justice. This is funny because i'm doing the opposite. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring psychology. I liked your blog a lot Siobhan! We have a lot in common!
