The Killers
The Killers have been my favorite band for about five years now. I find their music has a clean and refreshing feel to it, unlike many of the other bands that are out there who only seem to sing about sex, and drugs. The Killers seem to sing about things such as family, love, betrayal, outer space, ext. It is definitely a good change from the other kind of music that I hear now days. Lucky for me I was able to go and see them in concert last December! It was definitely a wonderful experience, and I would love to see them again!
One of my favorite songs of The Killers is “Mr.Brightside”.
Mr.Brightside is about a guy who loves a girl only to find out the girl has
been cheating on him. I have always found the music video to be very intriguing.
It has people dressed in weird costumes dancing to the music while these two
guys seem to fight over this one girl. The music video ends with the lead
singer walking away from the girl who was cheating on him.
I would recommend The Killers to anyone who likes Alternative
style music. The Killers music does not have a particular audience and it seems
that all different kinds of people are drawn to their music. They have some
very upbeat songs, and some slow ones. For me personally, I love how there is
always a song that they sing that matches the mood I am in. I would definitely
listen to them sing if you have never done so.

Is a music for all ages and how you said before is band with other ideals, no with the idea that unfortunately predominate in this gender of music that is sex and drugs. The first time that I heart the killers was when they produce "human" is a good song and since then i start to hear their music. Is a great choice and I enjoyed reading your blog.
I am a hip hop R&B fan for the most part. Surprising I strongly agree the killers are a pretty good band that can put on a good show. I usually don’t like alternative music but the killers are awesome. I really like the song Mr. Brightside but I have to been in the right mood otherwise I think it’s sort of depressing especially if I’m in a fight with my girlfriend or something. I also like the song when you were young. I agree with Carlos, the main focus of their music is about sex and drugs, I think they might get more followers if they started to make happier music about different things. I feel like most of their songs are focused on someone getting cheated on or heartbroken. I wonder why that is. Maybe it’s because one of the members of the band had their heartbroken a lot when they were young.
ReplyDeleteSiobhan, I like the Killers as well! I think they are a great band. The lead singer, Brandon Flowers, has a very unique tone to his voice. I think it’s great that they don’t use drugs or drink alcohol. I didn't know that about them! I also like that they have very clean music because you don’t see that a lot in music today. It takes a lot for the Killers to step out of the social norm and try something that most bands wouldn't do. I also like what the killers sings about because it relates to my life and it helps me cope with things sometimes. Their songs always seem to have a hidden message in them. I enjoy the fact that not a lot of people listen to this band and they’re not in the Itunes top ten all of the time. I like different music that not everybody knows about.
