About Me
My name is Gustave Koumare. I am from Harlem, New York. Harlem is located in the upper part of Manhattan. My family is from West Africa, more specifically the country of Mali. I am a freshman here at Nichols College. Currently, I'm majoring in Sports Management but plan on changing it to General Management. At Nichols, I am a point guard on the Men's Basketball team. Since I am now in my second semester at Nichols I feel wiser and a bit more experienced when it comes to juggling classes. Last semester I took this ITM class for granted. I did not really pay attention to the amount of information I could learn from this class. This semester I will not make that mistake again. I want to learn how to blog and express myself through the technology of a computer. An example of something that interests me would be College Basketball. This is a blog that I found interesting because you can read the insight of many different people from across the country. Growing up, my favorite division one men's basketball team has always been the University of Connecticut. I just like watching college basketball in general because of the intensity and fire in the way the athletes play in-order to win their games. I also learn something new everytime I watch, which can help me on my own game.

I have not been to New York in about 10 years. A lot might have changed since then, but I remember having a lot of fun while I was there visiting family. So I think it is awesome that you’re from New York. Also enjoy watching college basketball too. In fact, a lot of my high school class mates have gone off to play Division I basketball, men and women. My friend, Zach August, went off to play for Notre Dame. My other friend Olivier Hanlan went to BC and he’s actually been playing really well, I catch a few of his games every now and then. As for the girls, my teammate, Madeline Blais went to play for Merist, Lizzy Ball plays for Fairfield, Sam Brenner plays for UVM, and Melissa Frase plays for UMASS Lowell. So I have a pretty tied connection with D-I basketball, I watch it pretty often.
