If you like pizza and you are in the Dudely area i really suggest you take a stop to Jimmys Pizzeria. I would rate Jimmys a 8/10.  They have many different things you can order. You can get any type of pizza created the exact way you like. They also have great pastas, and sandwiches and salads. Im a very picky eater but when i order from Jimmys all of their food is so good i have so many options to choose from on the menu .I have two things that i love from jimmys Shrimp and chicken Alfredo and Meatlovers Pizza. I Could eat these everyday of the week if i had the money to.Another things Jimmys is great for is their customer service as which is just an upgrade to how good the food is, they a hospitality simillar to being in the south. After going to Jimmies you get the vibe that your back at home.

Torches Album Review

Today I'm going to review Foster the People's debut album, Torches. For those of you who don't know them, Foster the People is a new indie band out of LA. The band is led by founder and musical genius, Mark Foster. Other band members include bassist, Cubbie Fink, and drummer Mark Pontius. What I really like about this album is how every song is upbeat. Listening to this album will immediately put you in a great mood. Although Foster the People is defined as a indie rock band, all of their music has a great beat, and with it's beat makes great dance music as well. The number 1 hit on this album is obviously "Pumped Up Kicks". "Pumped Up Kicks" peaked at number 1 on the billboards and also won song of the year as well as top rock song in 2011. There are many other gems to be found on this album though; the first of which is "Helena Beat," the album's opening track. This songs is probably the "danciest" of the album, and its beat is definitely a strong way to start the album. The next track I liked was "Don't Stop (Colour on the Walls); this song, in my opinion, is better better than "Pumped Kicks' and very underrated. My favorite lyrics on the album come from "Houdini;" with lyrics like "Rise above gonna start the war/Whacha want whacha need whacha come here for/Well an eye for an eye and an F for fight/Takin me down is a prisoners rightGot shackles on my wings on tight," I found the lyrics to be very clever and had a lot of interesting hooks. Finally, my favorite song on the album, "Call It What You Want." (Featured is video game, FIFA 12) I think this is the most complete track, having the best combination of lyrics, instrumentation, and catchiness. Honaorable mentions are "Warrant" and "Waste." Overall, I would give this album a 7.5. I am in love with this album, and can't get enough of the Foster the People sound, but I still think something's missing. A very solid album, and I look forward to see what's the come from Mark Foster and crew.

Review of McDonalds

Review of the New McDonald's
By: Garrett Cesander

Any time I am hungry and on the road I look for a McDonald's, its easily my favorite food even though its terrible for me. I guarantee that who ever is reading this has eaten McDonald's at least once during your lifetime and probably has regretted once or twice as well.  So I'm not going to pretend I found something amazing. To be honest McDonald's probably the biggest fast food chain in the world, so I don't even know why I'm even writing about them its boring as hell. However, I have absolutely no clue what to write about and after looking at what some other people wrote about, I decided it had to be about food. But instead of writing about the food Iv'e decided I would cover McDonald's recent changes that they are all going through to try and get a new image.

In the 1990's as the fast food industry was booming, McDonald's lead the charge for cheap, quick, and filling food. Thousands of McDonald's sprouted up across the country an in attempt to limit where the competition could grow. So their model was quantity over quality, which gave the McDonald's building itself an ugly and cheap feel that was very unpleasant. So after years of this an image of McDonald's arose in a negative aspect. Recently, many McDonald's have gone through several changes to change it's image.

They have added flat screen televisions dedicated to news channels, put in hard wood floors as well as new nicer looking tables and chairs. Their new look goes with their new McCafe services and it works perfectly. Now at least in my opinion McDonald's is a more pleasant place to eat, and if I can even go eat indoors now! Overall, I believe it was a great business move by McDonald's to do this as they progress and change into the 21st century.

Located in our very own Dudley, MA, Yummys' has been serving delicious Chinese food to the town and our very own Nichols College for many years. They are open Monday through Thursday from 11 am - 10 pm, Friday from 11 am - 11 pm, and on Sunday from 12 pm - 10 pm. For their menu, they feature over 100 different items split between a lunch and dinner menu, always ready for delivery or pick up. Aside from your standard Chinese foods such as General Tsaos' Chicken and the Pu Pu Platter, they also provide Japanese foods, mostly sushi. And if you decide that you would like to take a night out on the town, you can be seated in either their large dining room, or by their bar for some thirst quenching drinks for adults. And if you plan ahead, you can plan your on private party with some friends. As far as customer service goes, they are very friendly and patient people. When it comes to delivery here to our own Shammie Hall, the delivery men don't miss anything and come within 25-30 minutes tops. With regards to payment, they will accept cash, pretty much any credit or debit card, and they also accept Bison Bucks if you are a Nichols College student. Personally I enjoy the number five luncheon special which has pork fried rice, chicken fingers, and boneless  spare ribs. Unfortunately, this restaurant doesn't get the credit it deserves, mostly because it's located in a very small area. But if you wont take my word for it, take these people's word:

Reviews on Panera Bread

My Reviews on Panera Bread are a 10 or of 10. I just went to Panera for my first time last summer and I’ve been addicted ever since. They serve all kinds of lunch and dinner meals such as soups, salads, sandwiches, and Panini’s. But they are most famous for their amazing homemade bread. They have a wide variety of breads and bagels. They also make smoothies from scratch and make sure you know what’s going onto your plate. My personal favorite is their macaroni and cheese. It’s some of the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. It almost tastes homemade which makes it that much better. I usually get a grilled cheese on the side which satisfies me since its large portions of food. If you’re ever hungry for a good meal and don’t want to pay too much, I highly suggest you take a trip to your local Panera.

They have a very friendly atmosphere. As soon as you walk into the restaurant you can smell the fresh bread being cooked. There is a large variety of baked goods right next to the door to show you the options you have such as cookies, muffins, and brownies for the people with a sweet tooth. The display of breads is in the back under the menu so you can choose what you like. They also have a kids menu for the little ones who want a snack. Panera has had almost all positive good reviews after looking online and seeing what people have said about it. Some people go there almost every day for lunch and have been going for years. It’s a perfect place for college students to go since it is also Wi-Fi adaptable so getting a snack while doing your homework is a good option for a day when you want to get out of the dorm and have a good meal or even a coffee. I suggest if you haven’t been to Panera yet, you should take some time out of your day and get down there. They also have meals to go which is a huge help when you are in a rush.

Gangster Squad

In 1949 gangster Mickey Cohen has become the most powerful figure in the California criminal underworld and intends to continue to expand his criminal enterprise across the United States forcing out his rivals in Chicago. The police have not been able to stop Cohen's rise. Cohen has eliminated witnesses and bribed both the court and the police controlling both illegal and legal sides of L.A. Sgt. John O'Mara was selected by Chief Bill Parker because of O’Mara’s special operations background and training during World War II to bring down Cohen. During this time O'Mara picked five other officers Coleman Harris, Conway Keeler, Max Kennard, Navidad Ramirez, and Jerry Wooters. This group of people formed the Gangster squad and their objective was dismantling Cohen’s crime empire and forcing him out of Los Angeles.

Based on true events it made the movie more interesting because I wanted to find out how it unraveled in the end. This movie was action packed from the start to the very end. It manages to maintain its momentum for two hours. It also had some funny parts. It’s an action movie but you will get a couple of laughs from this movie. This movie also had a fantastic cast with Josh Brolin as Sgt. O’mara and Sean Penn as Mickey Cohen, together they made this movie fantastic. There's often a stiff price to pay for doing what's right, especially when everyone else is willing to look the other way and ignore evil, to take the easy path, and let bad guys get away with whatever they want. John O'Mara and the rest of the gangster squad take great risks to fight the mob and didnt get recognition for their accomplishments, but in the end their biggest reward is knowing they did the right thing and made the city a better place.

O'Mara takes no prisoners in his fight against the Los Angeles mob. He's outgunned and gets almost no support from his colleagues in the corrupt LAPD, but he refuses to back down, even when it means risking his life. It's worth examining whether his actions are justified by his worthy goals.
Cast:

A movie I have recently watched is The Help. This movie is a great movie! It's one of the best I have ever seen. It made me laugh and cry throughout the whole story and I never got bored while watching it. This movie is great because you can read the book as well too. There are not a lot of movies in this generation that are so inspiring, but this movie takes inspiration to a whole new level. The Help has a little profanity and some graphic scenes in it only to get the point across even more; therefor it is rated PG-13.

A little background to the movie is it is based in Mississippi during the 1960s. In this small little Mississippi town, many black women worked in the houses to help out the white women with their children and their household. A young woman named Skeeter returns from college back to her hometown. She wants to become a prominent writer. She decides to pick a risky topic to talk about that she feels has never been brought up before. She begins writing about the African American women in her town. She gets inside the minds of these women and scoops up the dirt on how these women are really treated by the white people in the town. Skeeter finds some very interesting facts on how the black women were treated. She later compiles these stories into a book and the rest and publishes it. You can only imagine what happens next...
Many great award-winning actors and actresses are a part of this great film. Actresses include Emma Stone, Allison Janney, and Sissy Spacek. Actors include Chris Lowell, Mike Vogel, and Brian Kerwin. This is a great film filled with a great group of people. They picked the perfect part for each role. I absolutely loved Emma Stone in this movie! She did a great job and she made the movie very heart-felt.

Other reviews to this movie that you might want to read as well include a review from Entertainment Weekly that includes great pictures and a short clip on the movie. The Washington Post also has a great review on this wonderful movie as well. Hope you enjoy this movie as much as I did!

Review on Jimmy's Pizza

Just from being here at Nichols College I have to say that my favorite place to order out from is Jimmy's Pizza. They have great pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches to choose from. Along with these choices, they have many other types of food to pick from their menu. Since being here I have tried many of their products. Personally my favorites have been the steak and cheese sandwich with mayonnaise and onion, the buffalo chicken wrap, or the half buffalo half barbeque calzone. Jimmy's has a great staff of friendly workers who are always there to help you with your order in a very kind and friendly manner. Their service is always spot on and very professional by having your food delivered to you when they say it will be ready or sometimes even before they say so. Just from being a customer for this past school year I have never had a problem with them on being late or giving me terrible service. But this is all coming from the fact that I have only ever ordered from Jimmy's. I have never actually been to the pizzeria yet, but one day I plan on going.

After reading many reviews on-line, many people feel the same way as i do that Jimmy's Pizza here in Dudley, Ma is very good. Overall, people rate the pizzeria a 3.5 out of 5. One customer even posted on the website that, "I've been going to Jimmy's since I was a kid..." (Keyser, S). To me this shows that people that have been coming here always come back for Jimmy's amazing food and amazing service. Personally I do not blame them. I know when the school year is over I probably will plan on coming back to Jimmy's Pizza every now and then to treat myself to their delicious pizza. Hopefully I can spread the good word of Jimmy's Pizza to you all and one day you will also try it as I have. If any of you plan on ordering or going there at some point in your Nichols College careers, here is their telephonr number and address. And if you feel that this is a false review or you feel that my personal views are not correct then I am sorry for the false information.

Review on Outback Steakhouse

10/10
Outback Steakhouse is by far my favorite restaurant. The service is outstanding, the food is delicious, it is overall a great experience for a night out to eat. Since the first time I ate there a few years ago, it is always my restaurant of choice ever since. The menu is of a wide variety, having something to please everyones taste. I have tried many appetizers, entrée's, and desserts there. My favorite appetizer would definitely be the cheesy fries. They come with melted cheese and bacon on top of steak cut perfectly cooked french fries. My favorite meal would have to be the "Outback Special," which is either a 6, 9, or 12 ounce steak cooked to your preference with either a salad and side or two sides. I usually get the 9 ounce cooked medium rare with their garlic mashed potatoes and cooked mixed vegetables. Generally I don't like vegetables at restaurants, they usually taste frozen and flavorless to me. At Outback they are alway fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Some of my other favorites would have to be:
-cecear salad
-house salad
-Outback burger
-baked potato

It's not just the food that keeps me hooked. The servers at this restaurant have always been kind and helpful. From working in the food industry, I know the little things that matter most that servers should be doing. Taking away dirty plates, remembering straws, always getting refills, these are the little things I notice when going out to eat, and things Outback has always proved to be good with. The training must be better there than it is at many other restaurants, where these things that seem as if they would be common sense are not acknowledged. The overall atmosphere is also very clean, spacious, a good atmosphere to spend a quality meal with the family in.

Here are some other reviews on Outback. The average is 4 out of 5 stars.

Creatine Monohydrate blog

Luke Andre Bogdanski

Okay, let’s be honest, anyone who goes to the gym wants to either slim down and loose a little belly fat, or get ripped. There are many way to get there through hard work, dedication, and an occasional stop and GNC, Or Vitamin world. Throughout high school I was constantly online reading about different products that were legal and pretty healthy to take. From about first grade to about sophomore year I was a string bean and I had had quite enough of that. This is when I began to take AmplifiedCreatine 189 from GNC. Let me tell you, that was one of the worst decisions of my life.

Creatine is a substance that our bodies create naturally. It comes from the meats we eat as well as all of the other products that we ingest that contain protein. Creatine puts water into your muscles. Thus they look bigger and stronger when you are using Creatine. The thing is, Amplified Creatine 189 may make you look ripped when you are using it, but the day you get off it your muscles will begin to shrink. This is because the water is leaving your muscles. Within three days off of Creatine, I think my muscles were smaller than they were the day than the day that I bought it. Regardless of what they will try to tell you at GNC, your body makes a healthy amount of creative, it does not need to be overloaded by artificial creatine. The Guy at GNC told me that the best type of creatine to use was Amplified Creatine 189, so I bought it for forty dollars. I thought I would look like the incredible hulk when I got off of it and it would last, but it was gone before I knew it. Creatine also had other bad side effects for example it gave me a stuffy nose, and made me very dehydrated because all of the water that I was drink would go directly into my muscle fibers.

To anyone who is interested in the supplements that they could take to help their bodies get bigger and stronger, take it from me Creatine is one you should leave on the shelf. It is a waste of money. Whey protein, a multi vitamin and hard work are the only things that you really need.

Thai Cuisine Restaurant Natalie Trivino

Thai Cuisine
Thai Cuisine is a small quiet restaurant that is located downtown in Webste, MA. The drive from Nichols College to Thai Cuisine is only 10 minutes, and it's worth the short drive! The restaurant offers a variety of thai food such as rice, soups, noodles, dishes, desserts, and appetizers including good old crab ragoons. The menu is organized into categories with the prices right next to it. It gives the name of the dish with a little summary of what the dish indicates. The menu also tell if the food is going to spicy or not. Their prices are low and addordable. For example, the vegetable and tofu soup is only 3 dollars and dinners are as low as 8 dollars. Ordering for lunch would be cheaper than dinner. The dishes serve a lot of food in a plate and you could get really full before eating it all, even if you come in hungry! The spices on the food is excellent. The best part is that most of the entrees consists of vegetables so you're not eating fast food. They accept most credit cards and cash. For people who are 21 or over, there is a selection of wine, beer, or other liquors to drink for a good price even though it doesn't have a bar. You can dine in with friends for a cup of tea with rice, order take out, or have it delivery to your own home. The staffs in this restaurant are nice welcoming people. The waitress service is excellent and always provides clean eating utensils. If you want to dine in and have no place to park your car since it's in the town, there is a large parking lot in the back of the building with plenty of spaces to park your car. As a customer myself, I always enjoy going to this nice restaurant because it's so peaceful and relaxing. There's always classical music playing and the atmosphere is very clean. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is craving thai food. Their hours are Monday through Friday 11:30 until 9, Saturdays 4 until 9, and Sundays are closed. Their location is 267 Main Street in Webster, MA 01570 and their phone number is 508-671-9198.

Overall Excellent
Thai Cuisine was amazingly great food and service. We had never experienced Thai food and was unsure what to expect, but much to our delight, we loved every bit of it. The service was spectacular and our waiter, sorry don't remember his name, was very helpful in helping us decide what to order, made sure we were happy and offered to highlight the take home menu so we would know what we ordered. There were four of us dining and we ordered 4 or 5 dishes which were totally empty when we were done. What a great find, and we will order out or come dine here again. Highly recommend.

"The Killers" rock band

The Killers

The Killers are an alternative rock band that started up in 2001. The Killers are originally from Las Vegas Nevada but quickly became popular in the United States and other countries including the UK.  They are known for being a particularly “clean” band that uses little to no swear words in their music. They have also been called role models for other bands because of the abstinence in drugs and alcohol in their personal lives and their business lives. The Killers have a very unique sound to their band and the lead singer Brandon Flowers has a very soft and drawing voice that makes you want to keep listening
The Killers have been my favorite band for about five years now. I find their music has a clean and refreshing feel to it, unlike many of the other bands that are out there who only seem to sing about sex, and drugs. The Killers seem to sing about things such as family, love, betrayal, outer space, ext. It is definitely a good change from the other kind of music that I hear now days. Lucky for me I was able to go and see them in concert last December! It was definitely a wonderful experience, and I would love to see them again!

One of my favorite songs of The Killers is “Mr.Brightside”. Mr.Brightside is about a guy who loves a girl only to find out the girl has been cheating on him. I have always found the music video to be very intriguing. It has people dressed in weird costumes dancing to the music while these two guys seem to fight over this one girl. The music video ends with the lead singer walking away from the girl who was cheating on him.
I would recommend The Killers to anyone who likes Alternative style music. The Killers music does not have a particular audience and it seems that all different kinds of people are drawn to their music. They have some very upbeat songs, and some slow ones. For me personally, I love how there is always a song that they sing that matches the mood I am in. I would definitely listen to them sing if you have never done so.

AnneMarie Fana

Hey,

My name is AnneMarie Faña. My mother is Puerto Rican and my father is Dominican, but I was born and raised in Lawrence, MA. I have an older sister, Tianisha (21), a younger brother, Kwadere (9), and a nephew, Javien (5).

Over this past summer I worked as a tutor for my middle and high school mentor in a program he directs, Youth Development Organization (YDO). I was a tutor in the creative writing program. I got the chance to work with other tutors my age, and we worked with kids from 3rd-8th grade. I loved the experience; not only were the kids awesome and talented, but the staff grew really close over the course of the program. It got to the point where we'd spend about 10 hours a day with eachother between work and hanging out outside of work. I am still close with them all.

I attended boarding school in 2008 as a freshman at New Hampton School, and survived all four years there. I played softball, basketball, football, and lacrosse between all four years. The only sport I actually continue to play is lacrosse though. I met some of my best friends here at NHS. Reiva K., a sophomore at Dickinson, Kevin M., a sophomore at Wagner, and Raymond aka Boly, are all dearest friends of mine that I was fortunate enough to meet at New Hampton.

I am now an undeclared freshman here at Nichols College, working in the dining hall in the evenings and playing lacrosse in the spring. My Nichols experience has been pretty good so far. I messed up pretty bad academically last semester, but it's ok because I learned from it. I am determined to work ard this semester and not end up in the same position again.

More specifically, what I hope to learn from this Digital Apps (ITM 123-04) course is how to navigate and become familiar with the different softwares and programs on computers because I know I am going to need to be pretty good at this as I continue on in college and in any career I pursuit in. I will need to be able to work excel, and powerpoint and even though I'm pretty confident with Microsoft Word, I'm sure there's more stuff that could come in handy some day. I look forward to taking this course.

A very high interest of mine is Drake the music artist. I love listening to his music and interpreting his lyrics. I feel like a lot of what Drake says I can either relate to or simply understand it in my own perspective. A great blog on Drake is Octobers Very Own, which just has a lot of his music videos and lates songs or products that represent OVO. I love it!

This is my blog, people.

Hello everyone! My name is Rachel Rynning, born and raised in Grafton, a small yet thriving community in Massachusetts. Growing up in a town where everyone knows everyone, I just tried to keep a small circle of friends to pass the time and to make our own fun. I also played lacrosse, ran track and played soccer for a few years, because sometimes the fun my friends and I made wasn't enough. So far, being here at Nichols College not much has changed except for the fact that I'm a little older, a little wiser and more willing to learn and bring home good grades to my crazy mother and father. In high school I didn't take working and grades as seriously as I should have, so I'm happy and proud to finally know what it feels like to put a lot of effort into school. However, even though I started working late, I've maintained quite a few jobs. Some of them I really liked and others were tough to deal with. I worked at a pizza place in my town for about three months and hated every second of it. But I believe that everything I do in life has some sort of meaning behind it. That time, the meaning was, 'Wow, this is not the life for me', and it's always good to experience things, even if you end up hating it, because now I know a little more about myself and that's a good thing. I look forward to this class and can't wait to see what is in store!

Hello, My names Rebecca Scafidi I'm 18 and I'm from Salem, NH. Most people know Salem since Canobie Lake Park is located in my town. It's located right on the border of Mass and only 30 minutes from Boston which is very convenient. I work at an ice cream stand and a farm during the summer and babysit on the side. I love being at the beach while I'm home and being outside enjoying the nice weather. I am a freshman here at Nichols and I live in Shamie hall. I'm an accounting major and so far I'm very happy with the program and all my other classes here at Nichols. I've always been into sports and I’ve played softball for eight years and danced for ten. I've been a cheerleader now for seven years and I’m continuing it here at Nichols. We compete at nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida in April which I am very excited about. I hope to learn how to effectively use Microsoft office and PowerPoint and add a lot of digital effects to them.

About Me

My name is Gustave Koumare. I am from Harlem, New York. Harlem is located in the upper part of Manhattan. My family is from West Africa, more specifically the country of Mali. I am a freshman here at Nichols College. Currently, I'm majoring in Sports Management but plan on changing it to General Management. At Nichols, I am a point guard on the Men's Basketball team. Since I am now in my second semester at Nichols I feel wiser and a bit more experienced when it comes to juggling classes. Last semester I took this ITM class for granted. I did not really pay attention to the amount of information I could learn from this class. This semester I will not make that mistake again. I want to learn how to blog and express myself through the technology of a computer. An example of something that interests me would be College Basketball. This is a blog that I found interesting because you can read the insight of many different people from across the country. Growing up, my favorite division one men's basketball team has always been the University of Connecticut. I just like watching college basketball in general because of the intensity and fire in the way the athletes play in-order to win their games. I also learn something new everytime I watch, which can help me on my own game.

Iam Cara Butler. I'am 18 years old and a freshman here at Nichols. I live in Dudley, and i'am a commuter. My major is undecided. I currently work waitressing at The Bentley Pub in Auburn,Ma. I have worked in the resteraunt business since i was about 14. I first started that summer working with different friends of my Aunts, who owned restaraunts on Block Island, RI. I would bus tables and do other small tasks since i wasnt quite old enough to do some things. I also worked on the beach at a snack shack and would work the register and restocking items for them. Ever since then i have had worked in the restaraunt business. I also still go out to Block Island every summer-usually on weekends they know they will vbe busy and need the extra help, but this summer since i'am 18, i can start waitressing out there and i hope to make a lot of money. As for my hobbies, i dont have too many other than spending time with my friends, listening to music, drawing, and also i enjoy to read. Its hard to balance school work and friends so im almost always busy. From this course i hope to gain a better understanding of the softtware we will use and how to utilize the tools given to us.

A credible blog that intrests me is the blog to one of the bands that i enjoy,Best Coast ,  their blog basically gives you their biography, links to get their music, their 'official' store, it tells you where and how to order tickets to see them, their own blogging posts, tour dates, etc.
